'Être' - I am, You are

The verb 'être' means 'to be'. It is highly irregular. Let's learn the basic forms. Note that French has two ways to say 'you': 'tu' (informal, singular) and 'vous' (formal or plural).

Examples

Je suis fatigué. (I am tired.)
Tu es prêt ? (Are you ready?)
Il est grand. (He is tall.)
Nous sommes ici. (We are here.)
